Slots eclipse Table Games at online casinos
March 18, 2011

For the most part, casino table games like Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Poker and Craps have been held in high esteem and regularly frequented by predominantly male and high roller patrons at land based casinos. Slots and video poker machines on the other hand, seem to have been viewed as entertainment for “amateurs”, grannies and bored housewives who are in need of some frivolous fun without the need for much skill or concentration.
Since the advent of the online casino though, this has all been changing with slots enjoying more players of all ages and genders than ever before. This popularity can be widely attributed to the fact that while online table games have remained pretty much the same over the years. In spite of new variations of games being added, the basic game layouts and structures of table games do not change, whereas online slots are continually evolving and with so many different games to choose from, players are spoilt for choice.
New technologies have allowed online casinos to offer players better graphics, enhanced sound effects and even the newly released 3D slots which give the game and even more lifelike quality. There are literally hundreds of machine types to choose from including traditional reel slots, bonus and video slots, many of which offer their own unique bonus games and free spins features that ensure hours of entertainment. What’s more is that casinos powered by leading software providers release new online slots every month, whilst new table game variations are only added a few times a year.
Table games are undoubtedly here to stay, but with more and more people discovering the world of slots, one can be assured that they definitely are top of the casino games. Play today and see for yourself!

Microgaming to launch first truly 3D Slot
February 1, 2011

Microgaming first launched a 3D slot in the form of The Great Galaxy Grab back in 2009 but it seems the group was not entirely satisfied with the result of the 3D rendered graphics, and to be completely honest, in comparison to more recent competitor releases, we can see why!
So it was with much excitement that we received the news of Microgaming’s recent announcement that casinos in their network would soon be releasing their first “true 3D online slot” which, according to head of Microgaming’s casino operations, Mike Hebden, promises to bring your online casino and slots entertainment to life.
The new game which is based on the ever popular 5 reel, 25 payline Sterling Silver Video Slot is said to have been produced using specific 3D technology that will give the game lifelike dimensions adding even more enjoyment for players.
The 3D slot was previewed along with the most recent mobile technology developments and live dealer game technology at the recent ICEi (International Casino Exhibition Interactive) industry trade show, all of which were well received by the crowds. Microgaming New Games - The Verdict
January 24, 2011

Microgaming powered casinos routinely launch 4 new casino games each month. This month was no different and the offering included the Hot Ink, Retro Reels - Diamond Glitz, Private Eye and Monkey King online slots.
While much of the launch information made it seem impossible to choose which one would be the best, and many of the early reviewers made each game seem really amazing, after some dedicated testing on our part, we can tell you definitively that it is the tatto parlour themed Hot Ink Slot. Not only is this game visually spectacular with graphics that are slightly racier than usual, it also features Microgaming’s unique 1024 ways to win concept as well as an all new re-spin feature, both of which ensure maximum entertainment.
When it comes to the other games in this release, while they are definitely not terrible, none of the other three really stand out the way Hot Ink does. Retro Reels - Diamond glitz is a rather generic 5 reel, 25 payline machines which is perfect if you enjoy that kind of thing with no real surprises. Monkey King has an intriguing theme based on an old Asian fable so the graphics are quite cool, but as for the actual game, it’s nothing you haven’t seen before. Finally, the Private Eye slot would seem to be the one with the greatest potential with 243 ways to win a bonus game within the bonus game, but unless you actually hit the combinations to access these, it’s quite honestly, well…boring.

The Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring Slot launched
September 3, 2010
A few weeks ago we announced that Microgaming powered casinos would be launching The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Slot this month and finally it has arrived! We don’t usually do follow up posts on games launches, but this time we just had to make an exception…
With much excitement the bettingcorp.com team set out to play this highly anticipated slot as soon as it was launched on the 1st of September and the verdict was unanimous… this slot undeniably exceeds every expectation that was created in the hype (and that is something VERY difficult to do). In fact, it is easily one of the best slots you will ever encounter online and you just have to play it to believe it.
We had expected some excellent graphics given what we’d seen in the previews but the finished product is nothing short of spectacular. Scenes from the actual movie are artistically woven into the game using Microgaming’s pioneer Cinematic Spins technology and run as the reels spin and when trigger symbols align they transform into scenes from the film, drawing you in in a totally mesmerising experience that is accentuated by an epic musical score. WOW!!!!!!!!!
And if you aren’t blown away by the treat to your senses that this game offers then bear in mind that there are a whopping 243 ways to win in this five reel video slot.
For a full review of what the slot has to offer check out our last post on the game specs but do yourself a favour, play The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Slot today, it is nothing short of a masterpiece and by missing it, you’re really going to miss out. Trust us!

J.R.R Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy is undeniably one of the most famous literary works ever written which has not only enjoyed success in their novel form but also cinematically and now it seems, this work is translating into some of the most exciting online slots the casino world has seen.

The Lord of the Rings symbol is Wild and stacked on the reels, increasing your chances to make more winning combinations and the formidable Eye of Sauron symbol landing anywhere on reel 3 will expand across the entire reel making it Wild and able to substitute for all symbols except the scatters.
Make sure you look out for “The Precious” (The Ring) scatter symbol on the reels as it will trigger the Free Spins feature wherein random reels are turned Wild and the Wild reel will then substitute for all symbols except the scatter Ring. Free Spins are re-triggered for even more action. And also make sure you bet max to stand in line to win the 8000 coin jackpot!

More Exciting Slots Games

Who could forget the ever-popular TV game show The Price is Right; which featured Bob Barker as the host for a record 37 consecutive years and Rod Roddy, the boisterous announcer, who would boom from the top of his lungs “Come on down! You’re the next contestant on The Price is Right!” to lucky members of the audience. Popular features of the show were its veteran card and dice, followed by its slots games which were introduced in 2001; all of which awarded players fabulous prizes if they were fortunate enough to win.
Now WMS Gaming is taking the TV version of The Price is Right’s slots games and cross-pollinating them with technological breakthroughs in Sensory Immersion, Transmissive reels, and Community Gaming. The end result is gambling at a completely different level. Sensory immersion uses cockpit-type chairs and Bose surround sound technology to create an almost larger-than-life experience for the Player. Transmissive reels brings a 3D look and feel to the equation by combining an LCD screen with traditional spinning reels. To top it off Players share in the bonus round components of the game.
These new generation slots games were featured at the 2009 Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas and garnered a significant amount of interest from spectators. According to Rob Bone of WMS Gaming, the new Price is Right slots is slated to be a huge hit on casino floors across the country in the very near future.
